Today In Online Marketing News – Introducing A New Daily (Hopefully) Section

I am going to introduce a new part of my blog that I plan on adding to daily called, “Today In Online Marketing News.” The title is fairly self-explanatory – I am going to post articles and blog entries that I find appealing and that I think you, the reader will find appearing.

Here are some of the articles that caught my attention today: Monday April 7, 2008

  • Marketers Size Up New Metric System by Betsy Cummings. This article discusses a Proctor & Gamble as well as a Dell’s campaign in which engagement marketing results are actually being quantifiably measured and tracked.
  • In Web World of 24/7 Stress, Writers Blog Till They Drop by Matt Richtel. Discussed are the crazy hours many bloggers are putting in and the minimal fiscal returns they are getting back. Also, discussed are the health ramifications that some bloggers are experiencing due to the non-stop pace of the Internet.
  • NebuAd Observes ‘Useful, but Innocuous’ Web Browsing by Sual Hansell. Readers of this blog know I have a keen interest in Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) and how it will, and is affecting online marketing. The article discus’s privacy concerns and has some quotes by NebuAd’s founder Robert Dykes. Of note is that NebuAd will have reach to target 10% of the US population.
