The Twitter Translation Advantage
Twitter is getting a lot of press these days and it seems that everyone is talking about it. So with so many people using the service, how do you get noticed? I am definitely not an expert, but I did read a very interesting article on Marshable that got me thinking. The article is by Pete Cashmore, HOW TO: Translate Your Tweets:
Ever wanted to Tweet in multiple languages? While you could (roughly) translate your Tweets by pasting them into Google Translate, new service Twinslator wants to make it even easier, allowing you to write a tweet, translate it into another language and (optionally) post both messages. That’s all there is to it: a simple app for one straightforward purpose. (Incidentally, the translation is powered by Google Translate.)
Talk about a great way to expand your reach. The service translates into a few dozen languages. If you are looking to target a certain country or region of users, this could be a great way to give your efforts a boast! Just remember that any links included should also send users to a page in the same language as you tweet.
