Gmail Is The Third Largest Web Mail Service In The U.S.
Getting your email into the inbox of users is never an easy task and one that constantly needs monitoring. The king of email is Yahoo Mail with 106 monthly unique visitors according to comScore estimates followed by Windows Live Hotmail which has 47 million monthly unique visitors followed now by Gmail with 37 million. Gmail just recently surpassed AOL, which at the last count had 36.4 million monthly unique visitors.
All figures via TechCrunch, which also points out that Gmail can attribute much of its success to the amount of storage offered. Gmail also has a nice user interface and some very robust features. Personally, I like how I can receive email from several of my accounts in one place.
